Why Hudson-Odoi would be a success at Bayern.

Bayern Munich are said to be interested in bringing Callum Hudson-Odoi to the Allianz Arena from Chelsea and have reportedly already had a £20 million offer rejected. Interest in Hudson-Odoi has been high since his perfromances in England’s U17 world cup winning campaign, however has seen his chances at Chelsea limited since due to players such as Hazard, Pedro and Willian all ahead of him in the pecking order and after watching other young english wingers; Jadon Sancho and Reiss Nelson both having fruitful spells in germany, could perhaps be tempted by a move to the Bundesliga.

Many may be surprised by the high fee being demaned for an unknown 18 year old who has only played 45 mins of premier league football and limited to europa league games, However when you look into his stats at youth level you begin to see why the winger is rated so highly. Having made 58 appearances he has scored 26 goals and has 17 assists from the wing meaning he contributes with a goal or an assist around every 120 minutes, perhaps showing why he is now ready for a more prominent role for a side in one of europes top leagues.

With the rules around loan players changing next season and Hudson-Odoi’s contract being up in 2020 chelsea may have little bargaining power, if the youngster decides he wants the move,and after the recent acquisition of Christian Pulisic it doesnt look like Hudson-Odoi’s minutes will be increasing anytime soon.
